ROCKING CHAIR

You find yourself watching the rocking chair in front of you creak slowly back and forth under its own volition. You can’t help thinking that if you’d read this in a report, you’d recommend the writing officer be called up for pulling pranks or being intoxicated on duty. As it stands, when the chair jerks to a stop, as if realizing it was being watched, you simply try to put it out of your mind and continue your investigation.
