You carefully turn the crank and the pulley system of the dumbwaiter activates. A menacing creak moans louder and louder as the cart above slowly lowers down, reaching the bottom. On the platform is a doll.

INVESTIGATE THE DOLL

This doesn’t appear to be one of the salesman’s dolls. It seems a bit older. The name “Rose” is scribbled onto the brim of the doll’s bonnet. There’s a zipper on the back.

CHECK THE ZIPPER

The doll is stuffed with cotton.
