WINDOW & RADIO

Though not quite the same, the antique radio that stands before a broken window is similar to a replica you used to own. This one, however, is obviously an authentic original. It’s what was called a “floor radio” or “console radio”.

You step past the eerie radio, approaching the broken window. Rolling thunder and crackling lightning are an almost musical accompaniment to the pounding rain. If memory serves you, the weather was supposed to have been much like this in the final moments of the McDermott House victims. It’s enough to give even you a chill. You try your best to shrug off the sense of foreboding and focus on the task at hand. You lean closer to the window to peer outside. It’s hard to see anything through the heavy rain and dense night, but with the occasional lightning flash you can make out what looks like an overgrown courtyard.
