WALL OF ARTIFACTS
Several magical artifacts are in display cases beneath a sign that states, “The Mysteries of the Arcane: A Collection of Rare and Powerful Artifacts”. One of the display cases has been smashed open. Could that have been done during the darkness spell earlier?
The case has been smashed open, and shattered glass lies scattered around. Inside, the Djinn’s Lamp lies broken on a small pedestal.
A plaque beneath it reads, “DJINN’S LAMP – Contains within it the power to grant three wishes.” No other artifacts appear to have been taken or tampered with.
You pick up the broken pieces of the Djinn’s Lamp. For something that you thought would have a decent amount of weight to it, the two pieces are surprisingly light.
Are you just that strong?
Yes, you are, but something still feels off.
Could this have been a replica? A forgery? As you inspect the potentially fake lamp, something falls out:
It looks like a tap handle for a bar. The engraving is worn, but appears to read “Library of Lemuria Lager”. It must be quite old.
What’s this doing here anyway? What could someone have wanted with the Djinn’s Lamp, and where is Auberon keeping the real one? You’re not a fan of all these new questions…
You decide to take a closer look at the artifacts on display.
You tap on one of the glass cases, and inside a floating orb begins to glow with a pale green light. You smush your face against the clear container to get a better look and can feel the heat radiating from the strange object inside. Slowly, the pale green light fades.
As you continue to survey the wall, you notice other magical artifacts that you can’t quite identify. Some of them appear to be weapons, while others resemble trinkets or jewelry. You may be a fighter at heart, but even you can’t deny the value of a little bit of magic in a fight, and you can’t help but think that having one of those artifacts on your side could make all the difference in a battle.
