The Principal’s body is still lying here on the floor, but someone has placed a towel over his head out of respect. If this were Shakespeare’s Hamlet, perhaps the ghost of the late Mr. Roy would appear now and identify his murderer. Alas, poor Mr. Roy, I knew him. There’s a trophy on the floor near the body, as well as a crumpled piece of paper.
You take a careful look at the trophy. It’s a “Principal of the Year” trophy from the year you graduated. You remember the awards ceremony, Principal Roy had dozens of custom trophies made for things like “Most Creative Student”, “Best Actor in a School Play”, and “Funniest Teacher”. It looks like someone painted a blue number “1 on the front of the trophy.
A crumpled paper on the ground catches your eye. You carefully unfold it and take a look:
It’s a quality towel with the outline of a flower woven into the fabric.
