A murder among us. An interactive qr murder mystery experience! a murder mystery that you can set up and host in your own home!
First, you select a scenario, whatever sounds fun to you! Once purchased, you'll receive a file containing the QR codes and Host Guide you need to prepare for and host your very own Murder Mystery!
We've created immersive scenarios full of puzzles and mystery, and the QR codes you receive are the windows into those worlds! Your players (and maybe you included) will get to choose a character type and dive into the enigma, solving escape room-like riddles and putting together the clues necessary to figure out "who dunnit"! Each character type has access to a different perspective, and therefore different bits of information, so it will take all kinds in order to be successful.
While we provide the immersive QR world, you're free to decorate the space or have players customize their characters however they feel fit. Costumes are highly encouraged, and be sure to think of a good name for the role you're playing!
Everyone will need their own smartphone or tablet with camera, as well as an internet connection to play. You'll also need a way to print out the QR codes we send and a method of placing them around your space (clear tapes works perfectly.)
Depending on how skilled everyone is at solving puzzles, you can expect the scenarios to take anywhere from 1.5-3 hours.
There is absolutely no time limit!
We've designed our murder mysteries to be able to work in a single room, though if you have more space it's never a bad idea to spread things out.
Our puzzles have a similar vibe to those you might find in an Escape Room, so we recommend ages 13+.
There is, of course, murder involved in the plot of our scenarios, and in the case of the McDermott House Murders, a haunted house. But, there are no jump scares, and you're in total control of the environment in which you place our QR codes!
At least four people are required to play, one for each character type.
Yes, and we encourage them to do so! Don't worry, we don't tell the host any spoilers, so they'll be as much in the dark as everyone else.
The host will have access to a walkthrough that they can reference just in case you hit any roadblocks in your mystery-solving adventure.
Our games require a good amount of attention to detail, note-taking, and communication to complete. We've rated the difficulty for each scenario using knives, with 1 out of 5 knives being the easiest and 5 out of 5 knives being the most challenging.
