CEILING DEBRIS

A scattering of dust and debris stands out from the rest of the surroundings, startlingly mundane compared to its surroundings. Sure enough, when you step closer and look up, you can see the source of the detritus. A small, dark opening in the ceiling, likely collapsed in by a burrowing animal or weak support beam. A slight scratching reaches you from the darkness, verifying your nesting animal theory. It’s almost reassuring, seeing something so natural amidst everything else around you.
