CEILING DEBRIS

A scattering of dust and debris stands out from the rest of the surroundings, looking almost mundane. Sure enough, when you step closer and look up, you can see the source of the detritus. There’s a small hole in the ceiling above you where it has begun caving in. As you study it, you hear a soft scratching. Ah, a nesting animal would certainly have weakened the ceiling enough for it to start falling in. It’s almost reassuring to see something so natural compared to the other things you’ve seen so far.
