BOOKCASE
A pale spot in the shadows catches your eye, which, as you approach, reveals itself as a sheet-covered bookcase. With care not to disturb too much, you carefully peer at the tomes hidden behind the sheet. It doesn’t take reading more than a couple of the titles, such as ‘Mystical Secrets of Magic’ and ‘De Occulta Philosophia’, to realize this must be Charles McDermott’s personal collection that he studied through the end of his life after becoming obsessed with dark arts and the afterlife.
