The Principal’s body is still lying here on the floor, but someone has placed a towel over his head. You give the body a nudge with your foot. Aren’t bodies supposed to stiffen up after death? This one is still soft! There’s a bloody trophy on the ground near the body, as well as a piece of paper.
You pick up the bloody trophy. On second thought, maybe you shouldn’t touch crime scene evidence? Oh well, what’s done is done. It’s a “Principal of the Year” trophy from the year you graduated. Is “Principal of the Year” really a thing, or did he just have this made for himself? Trophies should really only be given for sports. Anyway, this one is covered in blood at the base. It looks like someone drew the number “1” on it with a blue marker.
You notice a crumpled piece of paper on the ground. You grab it and take a look:
Something tells you someone might have switched out the body, and is trying to cover it up with this towel! You check the face beneath the cloth and… yep, it’s still the Principal. Ah well, worth a look.
